Carrie  Palmer,  O.D.

Dr. Carrie Palmer is a North Ogden native. She graduated from Weber High School and Utah State University prior to receiving her doctorate from Southern California College of Optometry.

Dr. Palmer has practiced in the greater Ogden area for many years.  She specializes in Disease Management and Treatment and ensures patients know the best treatment options.  She also specializes in specialty contact lens fittings for patients with various corneal defects.  She truly loves helping our patients maintain excellent eye health while meeting their lifestyle and visual needs. She is committed to continually adding to her education to best serve her patients.

Dr. Palmer’s favorite pastimes are traveling and engaging in adventurous outdoors activities with her husband and four children. She enjoys reading, gardening and learning new things.

Dayan Ward, O.d.

Dr. Dayan Ward has been with our office for almost a year but is certainly not new to Optometry.  She is currently working at our office as well as another office in Murray.  She specializes is pediatric care and is Mi-Sight Certified.  Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Monsalve-Ward is a first-generation doctor with a license to practice Optometry in three different countries: Columbia, Spain and the United States.  As part of her training she completed with high honors a specialized pediatric rotation at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, ranked as the #1 eye hospital in the U.S

In her free time Dr. Ward  enjoys spending time with her husband exploring the Utah outdoors, traveling, and discovering the best Ramen and Colombian restaurants.

Rich  H.  Humpherys, O.D.

​Dr. Rich Humpherys has retired and is currently  working on doing humanitarian work around the world.  While we are so sad to see him go we are incredibly thankful for the legacy he leaves behind.  Dr. Humpherys has gone through and made sure his current patients will continue their care with Dr. Palmer and Dr. Ward.

​CPOT/Office  Manager

 Elizabeth has worked for Family Vision Care for over 19 years.  She is the staff member responsible for keeping all of our valued and prospective patients up to date on all the new and exciting things going on in our office.  


She works hard to bill both vision and medical insurances to ensure proper billing procedures are being done. She also make sure to have the most up to date information from insurance companies as often updates happen and can affect patient benefits.

She advocates on the patients behalf to ensure that the proper information is gathered so billing can be handled in a timely manner.  She works hard on training our staff so the office is run in an organized manner where patient care is our main priority.  

Shon:​ Social Media/
​frame  specialist

​Shondra is one of our friendly staff members that you will meet upon coming into the office.  She checks in each of our patients and ensures that we gather all of the necessary information needed to bill the insurance companies. 

She works hard to make sure our social media sites are both informative and personal so everyone can identify with our staff on a more personal level.

Shondra works hard at patient care to include adjusting glasses and dispensing contact lenses and glasses.  She is here and ready to answer any and all questions you may have before and after meeting with our doctors.  
Shondra is our frame specialist who meets with our frame reps to ensure our patients have quality products with a wide variety to choose from! 

We are blessed to have had Shon for over 5 years!!

Rylee:  optometric /Lab Technician​/billing

Rylee is an Optometric Technician and is trained in most aspects of the office.  She is trained on all specialty testing and works hard with both of our doctors to run any additional testing that may be needed before and after your eye examination. 

​ She is  also our lab technician who oversees everything ordered to ensure the quality meets our standard.
​She is trained in specialty testing to help with any extra tests that may be needed to help before, during or after the examination. 

She is happy to help in assisting you in picking out glasses and make recommendations that will work well with your prescription.   She is trained in contact lens training and dispensing and works hard at ensuring all patients are trained and comfortable with their contact lenses prior to leaving the office.  ​​​​

Ashlynn: ​ Lab/technician

​Keslie:  is one of our technicians that assists in pretesting all of our patients.  Keslie is trained  on specialty testing and works hand in hand with our doctors to help with any special testing that may need to be done before and  after your eye examination. 
Keslie also is one of our technicians that assists in our in office lab.  She works hard to ensure to check all glasses coming in pass our quality check points and come in in a timely manner. 
We look forward to all of our patients getting to know and work with Keslie!!!

Ashlynn is one of  our technicians that seats our patients.  Ashlynn works hand in hand with our doctors to ensure that you eye health is maintained and is here to answer any questions you may have.  
Ashlynn also works in our in office lab the ensure that your glasses come in and pass our quality check points.  She works hard with insurances and their labs to make sure our patients glasses come in in a timely manner.
We are so glad to have Ashlynn as part of our family and we are so excited for you to get to work with her!!!

Kayla: Optometric  Technician/
Insurance/Billing​​

Kayla is the employee that works hard behind the scenes to ensure that your examination billing  goes smoothly.  She handles all of our insurance pre-authorization for our valuable patients to ensure billing is handled in a smooth and proper manner.   
​ Kayla is one of our many billing technicians who ensures we follow protocol to get your claims billed correctly and in a timely manner.  She works hard to follow up on any insurances that is necessary to get claims paid and advocates on behalf of our patients.
We are so thankful for her hard work and the many hours she spends on the phone and computer to ensure our patients are taken care of.

Front desk/technician

Holly is one of front desk employees and is often the first person to greet you when you come in for your appointment.  She is here to assist you in checking in and answer any questions you may have prior to your appointment.  
Holly is also one of our amazing technicians that assists our doctors.  Holly does the pre testing and ensures the doctors have the information they need prior to seeing you.  
Holly works hand in hand with the doctors  to ensure your eyeglass selection and check out process goes seamlessly.  We are so thankful to have Holly as part of the team!

Alex also assists in patient communication.  She works hand in hand with our insurance specialist to ensure we have your up to date information prior to your appointment.

Trudi: 
Front Desk/billing​

Trudi is our amazing employee that is here to greet you when you come to our office.  She works hard to gather the information necessary to schedule appointments, order contacts and other materials and gather information prior to your exam.  She works hard to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner and keep the flow of the office going day in and day out.

She works hand in hand with the doctors to ensure any questions you have are answered.  Trudi has worked in the Optometry industry for many years and is here to make your office visit the best it can be and to ensure patient satisfaction is top priority.  We are so lucky to have her as part of our family!!!

Alyssa
Contact Lenses/Technician

Alyssa has been with our office for over 4 years and works hard behind the scenes to ensure our contact lens department runs smoothly.  She works hard with the various contact lens companies and distributor to ensure we have the up to date rebates to ensure our patients are getting the best pricing possible.  Alyssa also works with the various vision plans to ensure billing is done properly and in a timely manner for all contact lens orders.  
Alyssa stocks all the trial contact lenses for the office to ensure when patients come in for their appointments the doctors have the contact they need to ensure a proper fit for our amazing patients.  We are so thankful for her hard work!
