Focus of the Month
August and September we are focusing all on back to school. What does an eye exam have to do with back to school you ask? EVERYTHING!!! Did you know that most schools do not do vision screenings until October? By then your child has already almost finished out the first term. And if your child is one of the many children who struggle seeing the board at school they are already behind because of their vision.
Most children do not want to admit they cannot see or they don't even realize they cannot see. A comprehensive eye exam not only will tell you how your child's eyes are focusing but it will tell you about your child's ocular health. |
Most eye diseases do not have warning signs or come with pain. The only way to know if there are problems is a comprehensive eye exam.
Many children in our state struggle with eye allergies and dry eyes as well and that is something that is treatable. Many ocular disorders if caught and treated before the age of 8 there is hope of restoring or at least improving vision. We recommend all children to be seen prior to entering school.
