Nutrition plays an important role in our overall health, but it can also play a vital role in the health of your eyes. There are a few specific nutrients that play an especially important role in eye health. Studies have been done that show that lutein, zeaxanthin, vitamin C, vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, and zinc may help with macular degeneration and cataracts. Nutrients won’t stop these conditions once they’ve started, but they can help our eyes to stay healthy for longer.
